DocCue Privacy Policy

This policy describes DocCue by Original Gen Labs. SkyPad Social has its own separate privacy policy.

Effective November 3, 2026

1. Documents and on-device processing

DocCue processes the photos, PDFs, text and other supported files you select to extract information and create reviewed records. OCR and document editing run on your device. Optional Apple Intelligence analysis, where available, also uses the device’s supported local capabilities. The app does not upload document contents to a developer-operated server or external AI API.

Saved records can contain extracted text, expenses, dates, contact details, notes and your edits. Keeping an original file copy is controlled by the relevant save option; camera scans and edited-copy workflows may retain their generated document as shown before saving. Temporary processing and export files can exist locally.

2. Accounts, analytics and tracking

No DocCue account is required. The app does not include a third-party analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking SDK, and does not request an advertising identifier. Apple and the services you choose may process service diagnostics under their own policies.

3. Optional encrypted iCloud sync

If you enable sync, DocCue stores a password-encrypted library archive in your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. Your settings determine whether original file copies are included. Apple processes account, network and service metadata needed to provide iCloud. Original Gen Labs does not hold your sync password.

Turning sync off stops DocCue’s ongoing sync; it does not itself promise deletion of every copy already stored in iCloud, device backups or other devices. Manage those copies separately. Keep your sync password safe; we cannot recover it.

4. Local backups and device security

Local restorable backups are encrypted using your chosen password. You decide where to save or share them. Device authentication may be used to lock the app; DocCue receives an authentication result rather than your Face ID biometric data. Files stored or exported outside DocCue follow the security and retention rules of the destination.

5. Permissions and system actions

Camera, photo/file selection, calendar, contacts, reminders, notifications and other system integrations are used when needed for the action you select and subject to platform permissions. Choosing to create an event or contact sends the reviewed information to the configured system service or account. Optional Spotlight indexing and widgets may expose selected summaries through device system surfaces. Review these choices on a shared device.

6. Currency conversion

When you request currency conversion, DocCue requests public exchange rates from the Frankfurter service. Requests include currency and date parameters; your document text and receipt image are not sent to the rate provider. The provider may receive normal network information such as your IP address. Rates are informational and may differ from your bank or payment provider.

7. Sharing, email and external destinations

When you choose to share or email content, the selected file or text is provided to the system share destination, mail app or recipient you choose. Those services apply their own privacy policies and retention rules. A formatted email can reference a public Original Gen Labs logo; a recipient’s mail service may request that image and disclose normal request metadata to the image host.

Opening an external link sends an ordinary request to its destination. This website and its hosting provider also process ordinary website requests. Do not include confidential documents in support messages unless you intentionally choose to share them.

8. Purchases

Apple handles payments and App Store transactions. DocCue checks verified StoreKit purchase information to enable Pro and any eligible trial. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple account, purchase and refund data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

9. Retention, deletion and your choices

Saved records remain until you remove them or their local application data is removed, subject to operating-system backup and restore behavior. You can delete records, manage retained file copies, export a password-encrypted backup, disable optional sync and change system permissions. Copies you have shared, exported or backed up must be managed separately.

Deleted saved records move to Recently deleted for up to 30 days, unless you permanently delete them earlier. Expired records are removed when the app next performs cleanup. Full data deletion and separately deleting scan history are permanent. Local page-edit drafts may retain document copies until you save, discard or permanently delete the associated record. Back up important records before making major changes. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription.

10. Updates and contact

We may revise this policy as DocCue changes and will update the effective date here. For DocCue privacy questions, email privacy@originalgenlabs.com. For help, email support@originalgenlabs.com. Never send passwords or payment credentials.
